John 1.5: The light shines in the darkness, and the darknesshas not overcome it.
Jesus says that you are now light, and just as there is no darkness in him, there should also be no darkness in you. Evil will always try to overpower you, but God tells us to resist. This does not mean seeing evil as good, or accepting everything. You should only resist, and evil will flee from you. God always separates light from darkness, that is his nature, and you his child
